Your mobile phone is a target for advertising these days. Marketers want to let you know what they have to offer you. Your phone is always with you so what better place for them to find you? Of course, people don’t want to receive annoying sales phone calls on their mobile phones. In the recent past, people were much more open to receiving text-based advertisements than receiving these calls. However, consumers are getting just as weary of SMS ads. They want mobile discount codes instead.

A recent survey indicated that only 15% of smartphone users are interested in receiving ads via text message. In contrast, over one third of respondents said that they would be happy to receive grocery discount codes on their mobile phones. Smartphone users would also like to receive discount codes and deals for leisure activities and movie theaters in their area. Nearly 30% of the people said that they would like to get scannable barcodes on their phones which is another way of saying that they don’t want to have to print out deals in order to be able to use them.

Smartphone use continues to rise. Use of discount codes and deals continues to rise. It’s no surprise that interest in mobile discount codes continues to keep on rising as well!
