With no signs of the stock markets recovering from this serious global downturn, we’re particularly looking for ways you can save your money and make some more money (although there should be good buying opportunities in the market soon, so think about starting an investment club).

To inspire you, check out the $1000 in 30 days challenge. Adjust the amount to something realistic for your income level, and start saving!

Now that you have started supercharging your savings, we liked the tips about Certificates of Deposit to get a little more return on your savings.

If you’re having trouble cutting back your spending, look at what you really need first. By cutting back one video game console, you also save money by not buying the games!
And like we mentioned before, substituting your reading and movie habits with a free alternative (library or free online entertainment) is a great way to save money.

Now, with winter knocking, save more by heating your home less, and start knocking down some debt.
