Employment was the biggest topic of the day this week in the world of frugal living which makes sense since you do have to earn some money if you’re going to have any money to save! Bloggers shared their tips on job searches, job burnout, self-employment, layoff preparation, and what to do to be productive during unemployment.

Of course, there were a lot of really useful blog posts around the web this week that dealt with methods of saving money. Topics that got touched on included reducing television bills (discussed more than once actually), using a gratitude journal to motivate your saving , doing some zero-based budgeting and planning meals in a way that saves you money.

There were also some really inspiring money posts this week on giving to charity even though pockets are tight these days, turning money into time and even some true-life frugality stories. Finally, there was a fun post from the Debt Diva discussing the difference between being frugal and being cheap since most of us are happy to be the former but don’t want to be the latter!

Happy reading and good luck with your savings this week!
