If you spent time here on our blog this week then you know that we were pretty focused on promotional codes and how to use them properly in the current economy. We’re not the only one with tips on this topic. There were lots of other blogs this week with tips on using discount codes and saving money online; some were specific to parents’ shopping needs while others were more general. And of course there were a lot of tips out there for traditional coupon use as well.
Saving money doesn’t just mean using coupons. It can also mean downsizing your life. It may mean shopping around for the best deal on everything from college text books to food. It definitely means embracing the DIY lifestyle (even to the point of doing your own car repairs).
Frugal living isn’t just about saving money, though. It’s also about earning more. Sometimes that means finding new ways to make money (like starting a side business or having a yard sale). And other times it means doing things like bartering or selling your home. Whatever it means, there are a lot of tips out there for figuring out how to do it best!
