Google has recently released two new display ad templates that make it possible for online merchants to easily create coupons for their customers. These tools facilitate online coupon creation and distribution so that more businesses can offer discounts to their online shoppers. With the widespread popularity of Google’s services, these new ad templates could easily lead to significantly increased growth of online coupon use.

The new coupon templates are offered through Google’s Display AdWords ad service. People who use the service can create their own coupon ads using either template. The template is a basic design which allows the business to personalize information including the amount of money that can be saved. There is also a spot for businesses to enter a promo code for use with the ad.

From the perspective of businesses, the new tool is great not only because it is convenient but because its link with AdWords makes it possible to track how successful the coupon is at targeting specific markets. This means that businesses can create more personalized online coupons that target specific users.

From a user perspective, this could be a benefit for saving money online since it means that the user is more likely to see coupon ads that are relevant to the items that they truly have an interest in purchasing online. Additionally, the new templates should increase the general number of online coupons that a user sees. More availability of online coupons means more chance of saving money when shopping online.
