That’s exactly what a Florida realtor is hoping your reaction would be anyway. He decided to reduce the price on a luxury condo by a full $1 million and he publicized the fact by having a coupon for the deal printed up in a local newspaper.

The real estate market in this part of the United States has been facing some really tough times. People just aren’t in the market to buy multi-million dollar properties right now. Desperate to make a sale, the realtor decided that he’d try to drum up some attention for his property by printing up this coupon. It sure gained a lot of attention. How can you not check out a home that you can get for $1 million less using a coupon?!

Ultimately, however, this is more of an advertising trick than a true coupon deal. Real coupons offer a reasonable price off of an item that you would probably buy anyway. A luxury condo isn’t on the list of possible purchases for most of us. Nevertheless, this goes to show that coupons of all kinds are attention-getting right now and they could be a great way for people from all industries to market their products.
