Simple Ways to Cut your Grocery Bill

Grocery prices have gone up significantly in the past few months and almost every family has been impacted by it. While some individuals are finicky about the products they buy and resist change, many will have to alter the ways they shop- if they want to continue eating cheap. Some of the ways one can reduce the cost of groceries is by doing the following:
Use coupons. Coupons can be found in newspapers and grocery fliers. Use coupons to buy products which are listed on them. Many individuals save coupons and also have an exchange club.
Go on the internet and see what is on sale. Do not spontaneously go to a store next door and buy the groceries. Look around and be prepared. Most grocery stories list their specials and prices on the internet. Check out the store and see when the food prices are the cheapest
Buy generic products. Everyone wants brand names but you will have to pay more. And there is no evidence that all generic brands are poor quality. Do not just go for the labels and elegance of food products. Many brand names simply have fancy packing and labels- the ingredients are the same as generic products
Eat more vegetables. The price of meat has been steadily increasing and it is a luxury to eat steak everyday. Make foods with less meat and add more vegetables. Not only is this cheap but also healthy
Eat out less often. Wine, food and drink are a LOT more expensive to buy when you are away from home. So try to avoid being hungry and thirsty when you are out, have a drink and a little food before you leave, or take a packed lunch or a few snacks with you. It is nice, occassionaly, to treat yourself but try not to when you are saving up money.
Don’t eat as much food. Sounds simple but the vast majority of people eat way too much. Plus when you do get fat you have to pay to get fit again, either via a gym membership or going on a diet. So don’t get fat in the first place by simply not eating as food. A minute on the lips is not only a lifetime on the hips, it’s also a big dent in the wallet!
Bonus Tip: I recently came across Dean’s well established website Mr. Cheap Stuff, (great domain name), which is an excellent resource for money saving tips.
