Top 19 UK Money Saving Blogs – (Personal Finance Blogs)
We in the UK seem to be somewhat lacking in personal finance and money saving blogs. I intended to write a post called the top 50 personal finance blogs in the UK, but I couldn’t find 50, in fact I couldn’t even find 25. So please find below a list of the top 19 personal finance blogs in the UK. I’m really surprised that there are not no more blogs about money saving especially with the economy slipping into recession. With so many people looking for ways to tighten their belts now is the time to start a personal finance blog. I personally thought there would be loads of great UK money saving blogs but where are they all?
There are already loads of lists of the most popular personal finance blogs like this list, this list, this list, and this list, but they are nearly all American sites. Lots of the advice is still relevant but you can’t beat great advice from a blog in your own country. So I been working hard and pulled together the definitive list of the best money saving blogs in the UK. See below:

Note: Some of the Alexa ratings are for the main website not the actual blog, so this skews the results towards the large sites like Fool.co.uk, etc.
Scoring system: I used a similar to one used by Daniel at Daily Blog Tips.
Google Pagerank (0 – 10): The score comes from the actual Pagerank of the website site.
Alexa Rank (0 – 10): Ranges were determined based on the Alexa Rank (under 10,000 = 10 points, 10k to 25k = 9 points, 25k to 50k = 8, etc). Technorati Authority (0 – 10): Ranges were determined based on Technorati’s Authority rank and each range was assigned a number (1 to 10).
Is your blog missing? If your personal finance / frugal / money saving blog is not on this list and you are based in the UK just post a comment which includes your details and why you think your blog should be included in this list. If suitable I will add it for you.

Hello, as suggested I put my personal finance blog up for review – its called Where Does It Go? (http://www.where-does-it-go.com) and tries to cover money issues that affect the average 30 year old in the UK. Any comments welcomed! Best Wishes, Robert Brown

Thanks for the great list. I too have found lots of US finance sites and was dissapointed at the lack of UK information thanks for this.
Or how about….http://www.ukifp.org. A finance site for people working in the financial services industry but with a general finance news blog. PR of 2 currently…
I think the shortage of UK blogs comes down to regulation, as an Independent Financial Adviser I would love to have a blog but getting compliance approval is too difficult the best we can do is publish articles in sections as we are starting to do on our website pwfs.co.uk
It is even difficult for me to give snippets of advice on forum boards as I would be liable for compensation if my advice is acted upon, and I am unlikely to have the full information necessary to make a true recommendation.
We run a personal finance blog….http://blog.moneydashboard.com….which aims to cover all aspects of personal finance for the UK consumer. We also have a twitter account….http://www.twitter.com/moneyexperts…..that scours the internet for personal finance issues and suggestions, and links to them with comment.
Hello,
I agree that there are some excellent US personal finance blogs, but for some reason there seemed to be a lack of UK sites. As an interested amateur, I have recently launched a personal finance blog.
pennyfarthingfinance.blogspot.com/
I absolutely agree.
Whether we like it or not, for most of us, money has a big part to play in our lives, so it seems strange that it’s bit taboo to talk about it. Maybe it’s just a British thing.
So, an other new amateur for you: thriftynottight.co.uk
I agree that there doesn’t appear to be many uk money blogs. I have recently started working on my own blog at moneymansblog.co.uk.
Couldn’t agree more. British women in particular seem to suffer from a lack of good information and comment focussed specifically on them – so another new blog:
cashforcoco.blogspot.com
Hi

All the best.
Hi, another UK personal finance blog:
magicalpenny.com
It’s main remit is to evangelise the power of compounding returns to those in their 20s and 30s.
Would love to be included in an updated list.
