There’s a store near my flat but it’s fairly small, so I like to buy from Aftershock’s website instead. They always have loads of beautiful dresses and handbags to choose from, although the prices are a bit high. I had a wedding to attend last weekend so I ordered a clutch bag with rosettes, cream coloured heels as well as a gorgeous ruffled blue dress from Aftershock.

At first I browsed through the maxi dresses, but the one I liked best was nearly 400 pounds, which was totally out of budget. However, as soon as I saw the photo of the ruffled dress on the website I knew I had to have it. It fit perfectly and I received loads of compliments at the wedding.

The shoes, unfortunately, were slightly pinchy and I needed to return them. I was a bit disappointed that the pair from Aftershock didn’t fit, although I suppose it was my fault for not trying them on in-store. I will continue to shop from Aftershock; I only wish they sold fascinators because I could have bought my entire wedding outfit in one spot otherwise!

I found this gorgeous little dress that looks like a mix between 1920s and modern chic, yet the lace and flair are all feminine. It did cost a bit at 175, but I had set a budget of 200 for the dress, so I didn’t mind paying out for quality. Delivery was just 3.99 and the dress arrived within two days. Another nice touch to the website is the Editor’s Choice button. This takes you through to all the new and hot looks of the season. This year, it’s asymmetrical dresses, which I tend to avoid. But I like the idea of keeping up with the trends, and this section helps. It’s also where I found my gorgeous dress.
