At my daughter’s school they’ve been talking non-stop about pirates. They’ve read books about them, done pirate-related crafts, seen videos, etc., so she naturally wanted a pirate costume when it came time for a party at school. I looked at the local toy shop, but the only costume they had in the pirate theme was for a boy and it was pricey. My best friend decided to have a 1950s themed fancy dress party for her 25th birthday, and my boyfriend and I wanted to come up with really fab costumes for the event. I’d shopped from Angels Fancy Dress in the past and was happy with my Harry Potter costume, so my boyfriend and I visited their website and browsed through the “Grease” section in search of some cool 50s clothes.

Knowing nearly all of the girls would show up in poodle skirts, I wanted something a bit different and Angels did not disappoint. I chose the Sandy last scene outfit, with the tight black trousers and off the shoulder top, and ordered a blonde wig to go along with it. Unfortunately there weren’t any men’s options under Grease, minus a Danny wig. My boyfriend, still decided to dress as Danny so we could match, and wound up ordering the wig and figured he could pair it with a plain white T shirt and jeans. I was a bit annoyed at having to pay 7.99 delivery as it was only free if you spent 75 pounds. The items did arrive quickly though, and when we tried them on they looked fantastic.
