For my honeymoon last month I really wanted some new lingerie with a bit of flair. A friend recommended Ann Summers. Whilst much of the site is blush-worthy, the lingerie section really does offer a great variety compared to other shops. I got a few racy items as well as some more traditional, romantic ones, and I didn’t turn red in the face whilst wearing any of them. My husband loved them. Thanks Ann Summers.

I was left in charge of planning my best friend’s hen weekend in Brighton and all of us bridesmaids decided to buy her some cheeky gifts to use for the honeymoon (and really just to make her blush). I’d been to an Ann Summers party at a colleague’s house so I knew I’d be able to find what we needed on its website.

There was a hen and stag section on the website so I was able to search through loads of options. I was surprised at the prices…for some reason I expected Ann Summers to be more expensive. I bought a bride to be sash, veil, naughty badges, willy confetti, dare dice, and some “toys” which the others were against but I thought would be a laugh! Some of the other bridesmaids bought some dress up outfits (naughty nurse/cheerleader etc.) which I expected to be of poor quality material but they were actually quite nice.

The hen weekend was brilliant…the bride loved all of her gifts and it was good fun looking at her face whilst she opened them. I’ll be back to Ann Summers next time I have a friends hen night! The variety of items available made it so easy for me to plan the weekend.

There’s nothing like perusing Ann Summers online to make one blush, but I have to admit that the selection of toys and dress up materials is pretty good, and I really like being able to shop for sexy items within the privacy of my own home. Bonus! I recently ordered two pairs of matching pants and bras, and my boyfriend loves them. I’ll definitely go back to Ann Summers online. The quality of the products is pretty good, and the sizes fit me perfectly. And since I spent well over £35 I got free delivery. There’s also a good sale section that leads you to the latest offers. I found this really helpful. Perhaps I’ll be braver next time and order a costume or something a bit more risqué. My husband was always on at me to go to an Ann Summers party and get something nice to spice things up a little but I am inherently shy and I’m not at all comfortable with any sort of vulgarity. Also I had never known what to expect in Ann Summers shops and I had never entered one for fear of having my cringe reflex invoked but I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out the website. annsummers.com was not the eye opener I had expected as most of the stuff is fairly conservative compared to the mental imagery that I had. Of course there are some tongue-in-cheek items that are perhaps not me but I did order a nice camisole that was reasonably priced and I was quite happy with the quality. It didn’t have the cheap and tacky feel that I had expected and I would happily wear this item as it was comfortable to wear and trust me I am fussy. I will certainly be taking a look over the website for some more items and the delivery is good (free over £35) and now that I have seen the results a little encouragement can produce my husband may have a few more nights in over the next few weeks. If I had one thing to moan about with the site and that is that some of the things I liked were only available in limited sizes with the rest being labelled as out of stock.
