Fantastic prices but the site leaves something to be desired, 28 Jun 2011Review by Anna PierceIn search of a new cleaner to replace our ancient model, I went to the Appliance-Direct website. At first I was not impressed by the layout or look of the site and thought the company might be a bit dodgy, but when I saw the prices I was able to overlook aesthetics.
One other criticism of the website is that when you select a particular department it only shows a text list of the items and no photos. You must click on the individual photo in order to see the product, which in my mind is time consuming and a bit frustrating if you were not sure of the exact product you wanted (luckily I already had one in mind).
They didn’t have a terribly wide selection of cleaners but that didn’t matter since they did carry the Dyson Animal I was hoping to buy – and at least 100 pounds less than I’ve found at other retailers. Thrilled with the price I decided to buy the model and added it to my cart. Thankfully my cleaner arrived and was just what I expected, but I think a professional redesign of the website would give the shopper more confidence in purchasing from them.
