I love to shop with Ascension because all of their products are ethically made and they rely on local artisans and help to employ those less fortunate. I appreciate that the prices aren’t high, as many times you pay double the cost just to add the word ‘organic’ or ‘ethical’ to an item.
I picked out a cool pair of earrings that were handmade by artists in Kenya, as well as a cross front dress made entirely out of bamboo, organic cotton leggings and a baby gift for my sister – a dotted organic cotton playsuit. Hopefully in the future they will add a wider selection, but I know it’s not so easy to find brands that are ethically manufactured and out of sustainable materials.
Since they deliver around the globe, I’ve passed the link on to ethically conscious friends in the States as well. I’m looking forward to more fab new finds from Ascension and hope the word gets out about their shop because I believe they could help change the way we shop by just a few items at a time.
