Saved nearly 3,000 pounds on my new BMW, 29 Jun 2011Review by Alain G.If you don’t know what Autoebid is about don’t worry, because a video starts playing instantly when you visit the home page (if your speakers are turned up this might scare you a bit!). The video goes through exactly how the website works. Basically if you can enter in exactly the make, model and features you are looking for and dealers will submit bids to you below the recommended retail price. You then choose the dealer that offers the best price.
I was looking for a BMW 6 Series and after ticking all of the boxes for everything I wanted in the car Autoebid said that I could save a minimum of £2,838 from the total RRP. That was even including the Autoebid fee of £725. You don’t have to pay the fee unless all of your conditions are met, and I thought it seemed a fair price in order to save some money. Next all I had to do was create an account and agree to the maximum price stated (knowing it could likely be less) then the order was placed. I received emails with bids from several dealers and wound up getting my new BMW for a savings of 2,900 pounds! Although the process takes a bit more effort, it’s worth not having to haggle in a dealership.
