Banana Republic Customer Reviews
When I was younger I used to love shopping at Banana Republic. Since then, I’ve not lived near one of the stores, so it’s been impossible, but I rediscovered it online a few months ago. And I must say that I’m addicted. The site is great for seeing the whole range, having all the possible sizes available and finding good deals. Last week I ordered a few dresses for summer, and I was shocked to see that one of them had originally cost almost a £100 more than what I paid. I feel younger wearing these clothes, perhaps because it was one of my favourite shops when I was a teenager, but I also just like the feel and style of them. The website is easy to navigate and really pretty to look at because the products pop up in large photos and that are nicely displayed across as well as up and down the page. I’m a size larger than I was 15 years ago, which is disappointing, but the site offers plenty for all sizes up to a UK size 18.
Banana Republic always has some cute styles and my husband likes to buy some of his casual clothing here as well. I typically only shop with Banana when there’s a sale, since the everyday prices are a bit much and honestly I don’t think the quality is high enough to warrant charging 90 quid on a basic dress. I bought a lovely green jersey dress from Banana Republic in the spring and after about five wears it’s already showing signs of colour fading and pilling. After spending 50 pounds on the dress (on sale) I wasn’t pleased. Now I try to be a bit more careful as to the materials, choosing a nicer linen or silk instead of cottons that will wear out much faster.
I do enjoy their basic vests and tees though, and the prices on those are much lower, so I’ll buy them because they stand up better than some of the other cheap shirts I’ve bought from other stores. I haven’t experienced any problems shopping from their website and it has a really nice design and photographs that help to visualise how the product will look when you wear it. I’ll still shop from Banana here and there, but I’m not as keen on the store after the dress incident.
This is how models should look. The models and the clothes on this site look so natural. I can get a real feel for how the dresses hang and how they might look on me. This is perfect. I love shopping for clothes online when I get a good sense of how they would suit me, and this site offers that in abundance. Some of the items can be a bit pricey, but this is a quality brand. I often check the sales button first, and I’ve gotten something in there each time I’ve shopped. I look, I fall in love and I decide I must have a dress that is reduced by half or so. I wish all clothing sites offered views of the clothes like this – that’s what sells me most on this site.
