I saw information about plantation shutters from The California Co. whilst I was shopping at my local B&Q. Luckily the B&Q Shutters are all bespoke, so our irregularly sized windows were not even a concern. Their website was really straightforward and also featured customer stories so I could read through them and see how other people have used the shutters.

There was a brightly coloured button on the website to click for an instant quote, so I went through and measured the windows using the instructions in their shutter measuring guide. All I had to do was type in the measurements and I had an instant quote on my screen. They tell you the types of shutters that will work for your particular measurements, and how much they will be. From there I viewed the classic shutters and I could choose the design out of 8 different options. I wasn’t quite sure which colour to order, so I was able to order free colour samples which arrived at my home just a few days later. Since then I placed an order for the honey oak colour and I’m really looking forward to the new shutters arriving. Although I’m pretty fond of DIY I’ve never installed a shutter, but B&Q has an entire installation guide on their website so I’m not too worried.
