My eldest son has taken to wearing Harrington jackets lately. I don’t know if it’s a retro thing or what, but I do like the way they look on him, and I certainly think it beats a hoodie. So I encourage the latest craze by indulging him. I have found it difficult to get to the shops that carry Baracuta jackets, however, so now I just go to this site online. It offers a great selection of jackets in various colours and styles. When I ordered last they were offering a 2 for £100 deal, so I got his birthday and Christmas presents sorted out in one go, which was great.

My dad has been wearing the original Harrington jacket from Baracuta ever since I can remember. I decided to treat him to a new one for Father’s Day in a different colour, since he wears his old navy coloured one so often.

I thought it was a bit odd that they cost different prices by colour (why is brown 135 quid and navy is 160?) and I definitely left my choices up to the ones costing 135, finally deciding on the “natural” since I thought it would match with everything. The whole process took only a few moments since they had a large graphic on the homepage with the Harrington jackets, so all I had to do was click there, choose a colour and check out. That being said I didn’t look around the rest of the website much but I did like the overall layout and design of it – the home page had a cool vintage vibe and I thought it was quite nice. I did read up on the history behind the jacket, and they had a whole interactive timeline where you could use a scroller to view the history of the company. The jacket is just what I expected and dad loved the new colour, so I’m pleased all around.
