These hotels are awesome. Just take a look at the photos. The website highlights a number of different hotels here in the UK and internationally, and they’re all stunning. And the prices I found for a hotel in Wales were so low I nearly fell out of my seat. £40 a night for one hotel. For my next weekend getaway, I’ll definitely check out Barcelo. When I showed my wife the photos of where we're staying next weekend, she gave me a huge hug -- she's really pleased, and so am I.

I’d been researching a getaway in the Canaries and came across the Barcelo website on a Google search, then I found a 5% bookings discount code and figured I’d see what they had to offer. Straight away I spotted a graphic of a beautiful hotel in Fuerteventura on the homepage so I clicked on it and read through the details of the property. I liked how the website had so much information beyond just listing the amenities. The site featured loads of gorgeous photos and virtual tours of each category of guest room as well as tours of the lobby, pool and other areas of the hotel. There also was a map of the area so I could see exactly where the hotel was located (right on the beach!)

After looking up some reviews of the property I was ready to book on the Barcelo website. It took a few moments and luckily the dates we planned for the holiday were available so I booked straight away, using my discount code. My husband was thrilled with the price and I was thrilled with staying at a posh hotel so it worked out for everyone! The hotel was lovely and just as pictured on the site, it was definitely a holiday to remember with sun, fun and relaxation in the hotel's spa. I will not hesitate to stay at a Barcelo property again!

I booked a room at the hotel online with no trouble, because the website is really easy to use. Paid online in advance using my credit card and when I arrived for Cheltenham week it was great to just walk into the hotel and go straight to our room after simply checking in. The room was just as they had said it would be and the hotel was okay too. Meals were pretty good although we only ate once at the hotel, the bar was great though, didn’t get to use the facilities because we got back late from the racecourse every day.

The service was alright although we did have a problem with the laundry which is why I am only going to give a three star rating. I chose this hotel because I found it easy to navigate the Barcelo Website, the other sites I had gone on were not as clear and as easy to use as this one was, it was really to see what the hotel was like and to view all the facilities that are available. We wanted a four star hotel not too far from the race course and which had a car park because I had hired a car for the time we were in Cheltenham.

I can honestly say that I would definitely be using this site again next year when we come over for gold cup week. Just hope I get as lucky on the horses as I did when I booked this hotel.
