Fantastic magazines for yourself or gifts, 30 Jun 2011Review by Penny WalthropI’m a bit of a magazine freak so the BBC Magazines website makes it simple for me to subscribe to some of my favourites in one place. The prices are much lower than you’d pay by picking them at a store each month and I love that I receive my copies before they are in the shops. Currently I subscribe to Good Food, Olive, Lonely Planet and Homes & Antiques. Their customer service is fab and on the one occasion that I missed an issue I emailed them from the website and received a response the next day letting me know that the issue would be on the way.
I often buy magazines for pressies as well since it’s really a gift that lasts all year round, and I often go on BBCsubscriptions.com to do so; I like that there is an option to click if you’re ordering for you or as a gift so you can sort that out from the get-go. My mum is an avid gardener so I ordered her a gift sub to Gardeners’ World for Christmas last year and she absolutely loves it and looks forward to each month’s new issue. BBC Magazines definitely simplified my gift giving so I plan on ordering more magazine subscriptions when Christmas comes round this year as well!
