For our family holiday to Tuscany I wanted to rent a villa and a friend told me about Belvilla. Straight from the home page you can search through their properties – just using the drop down features to select country, type of property, number of people, and so forth. My requirements were quite specific so I was surprised when 23 holiday cottages popped up on the screen for the dates I picked.

I liked how detailed the listing on each property was and the gorgeous photos. Most of the homes had at least 12 to 15 photos and so you could really get an idea of what it looks like. There also was a Google map of the surrounding area, a floor plan and information on surroundings (distant to public transport etc). We looked at all 23 properties and it was really helpful to see the differences in price by week; we actually saw that arriving a week earlier would be cheaper so we were able to amend the dates of our holiday. In the end I was able to book a villa near Lucca in about five minutes after filling out a brief form and providing my credit card details. Everything was really simple and I couldn’t be happier with our choice. I’d certainly use Belvilla again!
