It seems to be very strong on customer service, but light on products in the sense that there are a lot of other stores which offer more styles and more options. This is both good and bad. The store is less crowded that way, and shoppers are not overwhelmed because there isn't quite so much to see and choose from. Some shoppers want to get everything they can at one store, though, and BHS might not have enough for them. Customer service is important, but only if it's coupled with what customers want from their total shopping experience, and that means products.
