I've never had to buy tyres in my life, so when my front right tyre went flat, I had to replace it and was a bit stressed out. I recently had to change both my front tyres less than a year after having them fitted less than a year ago. I was quoted £105 per tyre at the same garage as I had bought the tyres from last year. I was a bit cheesed off because I felt that I was being ripped off as I haven’t done an excessive amount of miles (around 8000) and I didn’t want to spend another couple of hundred pounds on something that is not going to last five minutes again.

As for buying through a local fitter I’ll never do it again as they can offer you tyres which you have no idea about and I’ve now seen that you can get high quality branded tyres for a lot less. For me it’s taken all the guess work out and I doubt very much if these will bare in the same amount of time that the no name tyres I bought locally. I’m all for supporting local businesses but I have been ripped off too many times and I’ve had enough of it and will be shopping online from now on and I will go back to blackcircles.com.
