I'm trying to sort my Christmas shopping before November is out, and my daughter in law always loves jewellery. But, I've found that her taste is very high end, and she's very choosy...I didn't want to embarrass myself. The gift finder on coloured rocks was great and all you have to do is enter the person's gender and age, then it asks you some questions (do they like earrings, bracelet, rings; do they prefer white gold/silver/etc). I know Katy likes rose gold, so I filled everything out and it had 7 different pairs of earrings based on the answers I gave. I liked nearly all of them, so after some debate I asked my son to take a look and he helped me choose the best pair. They were only £106, which is less than I expected to spend, and I think she'll really like them.

I've watched Gems TV plenty of times and when I was after a birthday gift for my 16 year old niece I went on the website. They had a lot of search options so I could narrow it down to a ruby under £50 in sterling silver, and even then there were loads of pieces to choose from.
