Dorothy Perkins Discount Codes & Promotional Codes 2012

I spotted a green dress on the DP website that reminded me a bit of Kate Middleton's style and thought it would be perfect for my friend's wedding. I don't have a Dorothy Perkins near me these days since I live in the States now, so their website is a treat for me and the shipping over here isn't terrible either considering it's international. They always seem to have a sale going on and I ended up buying two dresses for about £60 total which is certainly less than I'd pay for one dress normally. The wrap dress I bought is a lovely purple colour and the green one was a massive hit at the wedding. Everyone was asking where I bought it and couldn't believe it was only 30 quid! I'll be wearing it again on Christmas, and can't wait to show it off the purple one at my company's holiday lunch tomorrow. My boyfriend’s sister was getting married so I needed to buy a new dress for their garden party ceremony. I already had a cream and orange colored hat so I wanted something to match it, and found a great sleeveless orange lace dress in the party dresses section of the Dorothy Perkins website. Typically I don’t shop for clothing online but I decided to take a gamble and ordered the dress since I don’t have a Dorothy Perkins store nearby.

At just 26 quid this dress was a bargain and the free shipping code I used definitely helped. When the dress arrived it was a bit too small, but Dorothy Perkins offers free returns so I was able to post it back and get a new one in the next size up. This was great since so many websites don't offer this free service.

Unfortunately the next larger size was loose under the arms. Typically it wouldn’t be a bother and I’d have it altered, but there wasn’t any time since the wedding was the day after I received the second dress. The dress was quite nice minus the sizing and I was disappointed to return it. The lace was a good quality and not cheap looking at all. At least I didn’t have to spend a fortune on return shipping.

I have always loved Dorothy Perkins, and now I love Dorothy Perkins online. Being a regular at the shop, I know how their sizes fit me, so it’s easy to order online. I find that the selection online is a bit better, and they have more of everything in my size than they do in the local shop, which is a 20-minute drive. Combine that with free delivery on orders above 75, and I’m in. I really like looking at the sales. So I click on the dress section and then the sale option, and I can look at all the great discounts in my size. It’s perfect. I just picked up a gorgeous little summer dress for a tenner – that’s unheard of normally at Dorothy Perkins. Great find!! And I can’t wait to wear it this weekend. I convinced my daughter to give Dorothy Perkins a try as well, and she loves the student discount of 10%.

I have shopped with Dorothy Perkins for around 30 years and I remember going shopping with my mother there as a child. I have shopped a lot online because it suits me to spend time doing other things at the weekend rather than traipsing around looking for ‘something special’. While I don’t expect to have anything too special from Dorothy Perkins I invariably find something nice and I particularly like using the website because I can just go to the sale/offers page which is where I tend to shop on any website that I visit.
DorothyPerkins.com lines are all very reasonably priced anyway so when you pick something up in the sale or an offer such as money off for two items you are getting amazing value for money. I bought two summer shirts which were priced individually for £14 each for £25 for the two and I’m ordering more when I finish writing this. With the holiday season coming up and the weather about to change I am really happy with my shirts.
At the same time as the shorts I ordered a pair of trousers but I’m really hard to get trousers to fit right because I’m a weird shape. Sadly I had to send them back but the returns are free anyway although the delivery costs £4. One way to avoid the delivery cost if you can be bothered is to order over £75 worth of stuff which gives you free delivery and as the returns are free you can send anything you don’t want back and have the money refunded for those items. In reality though, with everything priced fairly well it’s hardly worth the hassle of posting things back for the sake of £4.
