East Midlands Trains Customer Reviews

Love booking my tickets in advance online

Super easy to book train tickets here. Whilst the site is nothing to look at design-wise, it gets the job done. I've purchased from here several times and it beats waiting in a queue, that's for sure. I'm not sure that the prices are any different, but the ease and convenience of online booking makes up for the lack of discount. Plus, there's no chance of waiting for a ticket agent only to find that your train's sold out.

Shopping Tips for East Midlands Trains

Offers and Deals for You

Season Tickets

If you’re always travelling with East Midlands Trains or are planning a trip which will require a lot of train journeys, your best bet is to pay for a season ticket. These tickets are available for seven days, one month or one year and let you travel on any train, on any day, at any time – even during peak times and weekends. The season tickets work out much better value than paying for individual train journeys and also come with exclusive benefits, like ten discounted tickets for friends and family, free entry into competitions and special offers only sent out to season ticket holders.

Super Off-Peak Tickets

On the other hand, if you only need a single or return train ticket, you’ll be better off buying a super off-peak ticket. These tickets are heavily discounted, although you do need to commit to a definite date and time of travel when booking. With this ticket, you can travel into London St Pancras International at or after 11:26am or leave London St Pancras International between 10:29am and 3:16pm or after 6:59pm on weekdays. You can travel at any time on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.

Discounted NET Tram tickets

Thanks to East Midlands Trains’ partnership with NET Tram, you could pay as little as £1.50 for a single journey, £2.50 for a return or £12 for a weekly ticket. To claim your discounted ticket, simply visit the tram ticket kiosk at any train station and present your East Midlands Trains ticket.

Discounted Group Tickets

The next time you’re travelling with East Midlands Trains as part of a group, don’t just book your tickets through the site the normal way – instead check out their group offers. If you’re travelling in a group of ten or more people, you’re entitled to an exclusive low rate which you’ll only get by calling the number on the group ticket page. Unfortunately, the cheap rates are only available for journeys to and from London St Pancras or between Liverpool and Norwich.
