EasyJet Travel Insurance Customer Reviews
We really blew it earlier this year by not having insurance when the fighting broke out in Egypt. We had already paid a deposit on a holiday, and apparently we were using a slightly dodgy operator because they took our money and ran, no refunds, no rebooking. Heck, we even asked if we could still go into the war zone with them (just to see what they’d say). Nope. No they don’t answer their phones, and we assume they’re out of business. Having lost £250, I decided then and there to buy annual travel insurance. EasyJet provides good coverage for European holidays (and we usually travel only in Europe and will not be trying Egypt again anytime soon). I got our whole family travel insurance for around £50, and even if I never need it, I’m happy to have it for my own peace of mind.
My wife and I never thought of travel insurance when we were younger, but with the kids and parents who are getting on in years, things come up that could severely impact travel plans. This year was the first year we opted for travel insurance and just did a single trip policy. I obtained the quote on the Easyjet site and it was really simple, and much less than I expected. Thought it was brilliant how easy they make it to sort your policy online! We didn't need it, luckily, but knowing that if an emergency arose or there was a situation abroad that made us not want to travel, we'd not lose our money.
