Eurotunnel Customer Reviews

Who knew a tunnel could be so useful?

We love driving to our holiday home in Normandy and rely on EuroTunnel to get us there quickly. We take our own car so that we have transportation, so really the tunnel and ferries are our only options. So I love this site. First, we rely on EuroTunnel. Secondly, the site makes it so easy to shop the best prices and dates for travel. We’ve been using it for years and will continue to do so.

So much easier than hiring a car

I've never tried this before, but when we took our last holiday to France the car hire situation was a disaster, so I wanted our own vehicle this time. After seeing the ads on the telly for Eurotunnel I decided to take a gamble on them. Reading through the site I was surprised at the low price and ease of getting our car across to Calais, and made a booking. Everything went smoothly and now I know where to go for my next holiday plans. The crossing was so fast that you could easily do a day trip, so that's in the works for September now.

Eurotunnel usually opens up its summer tickets in winter and its winter tickets in summer, meaning if you’re well prepared and plan ahead, you can take advantage of exclusive early-bird rates which will only be available for a short time. To qualify for the cheap rates, you usually need to stay a specific number of days and book before a certain date, but if this fits in with your plans, you could make a huge saving.

If you regularly travel via the Eurotunnel, you could save loads by signing up for their Frequent Traveller Account. This type of account is available for people who travel at least four times every year and opens up exclusive low rates starting from as little as £43 per car per way – that’s a discount of 40%.

The only downside is that to qualify for the account, you need to purchase a minimum of ten tickets within the year the account is valid and pay supplements for travelling during peak times.
