F.Hinds Jewellers Customer Reviews
Most jewellery shopping sites show off their wares on the homepage, but this one simply has buttons and an advertisement, which did little to really draw me in. What I did find really useful were the guides to metals, diamonds and other gems. For example, I learned that platinum is so rare that hundreds of kilos of it must be mined before a single gram of platinum can be produced, which goes a little way toward explain the value and costs involved. I also learned on the site that wedding bands have been a part of wedding ceremonies since the 12th Century. When it came time to look for rings, however, I found the site a bit clunky and hard to navigate. It could certainly use a reorganisation. The prices, though, seem very good.
I agree that the website could use a re-design as it's not very attractive with only buttons and no photos of actual jewellery. However I've always found their prices to be good and the quality exceptional. Whilst I typically shop in their store I have gone online from time to time and today wound up ordering a set of 3 Swarovski rings for my wife as an anniversary gift. I'm really pleased with the price for 3 rings and I think she'll wear them often.
I can’t believe this site misses the opportunity to wow me with photos of gorgeous jewellery on the homepage. Instead it’s just a series of buttons. In order to see photos I had to click into the categories a few steps, which isn’t exactly visually intoxicating. Humpf! That said, the prices are pretty good once you delve in. I was just looking for a bracelet for my daughter, and I found a really good deal. But I did feel like the site was holding back, like it hadn’t been designed very well.
