John Lewis Customer Reviews

John Lewis has fantastic sofas and chairs, curtains and blinds

John Lewis helped me redecorate my tired, old living room. The store has such fantastic sofas and chairs, curtains and blinds, accessories and rugs that I spent a lot of time wondering which to get. Everything is of the highest quality and is fit for the home of a royal. I loved wandering through the showrooms looking at my favourite colours and fabrics. Before I bought anything I also looked at the ranges that they have on the internet just in case there was something that I wanted there.

I must say that the sales consultants are very friendly and are quite knowledgeable about home decorating. They showed me how to match beautiful pillows with the sofa that I bought. They also showed me a selection of rugs and blinds that would complement the furniture. It was actually quite difficult to make up my mind, but their help and advice really made a difference. I also got a few good ideas from the website.

When push comes to shove I’m convinced that I made some very wise choices. The prices were very reasonable and my budget survived the onslaught. The help and advice that I got both in-store and online helped me put the look that I wanted together. I have absolutely no regrets doing my redecoration with the help of John Lewis. Without them I’m sure my little project would not be so successful.

I set the price at John Lewis online

It occurred to me the other day that Father’s Day is fast approaching, and I hadn’t even thought about it. I never know what to get my husband for Father’s Day, so I really like looking around online for ideas. I had heard John Lewis had some good deals on offer, so I started there. The site is very elegant and easy to move around in. From the homepage, there’s a section just for “Father’s Day”, and it takes you through to all kinds of great gift ideas.
The thing I really like about gift shopping at John Lewis is being able to set my price parameter. I can tell the site to filter out anything above or below a certain price range. You can also search by specific brands.
For my husband, I was able to find a pair of trainers he’s been wanting, as well as his (and my) favourite cologne. I guess the only real problem is that it’s too easy to keep looking for other items. I get pulled by “special offers” and pictures of pretty dresses. So I ended up getting a few things for myself as well. My own “mother’s day” ha ha. I found a gorgeous firefly, A-line skirt for summer that I absolutely love.
John Lewis carries my favourite makeup line, Bobbi Brown, and I’m always interested to see what the latest products are. Here it’s so helpful to be able to sort by brand, and I did. And I found the perfect eye palette set for summer.
Everything was delivered easily for around £5 the next day. You can pay less and wait a while longer, but I was too excited to see my new skirt to wait.

Why go to all the trouble of driving?

I love the quality of the products at John Lewis. But I hate driving 25 minutes and parking in an expensive car park to get to the nearest one. I hate the overwhelming stink of perfumes as I walk in the shop. I hate the crowds. I hate knowing I’m surrounded by endless germs. So I go online instead – and the selection is superb, the staff cheerful and the quantity of stock unlimited. In a word, going on line is just “easier”.
