I really needed to start working out. I was about two stone overweight, and after the birth of my kids I was in need of some serious toning. But I was intimidated by the thought of walking into a gym, where all the people are so fit, and signing up for help. I imagined I would be sized up and found wanting, and that everyone’s face would reflect this thought: “You don’t belong here fatty, go away.” A friend of mine uses Fitness First, so when I mentioned my desire to start working out, she really recommended it to me. Like I said, I was a bit scared to just walk into the gym. So I started with the website first instead. I was already pretty hooked, and then I saw that they offer “Strictly Come Dancing” for dancing your way to a fitter you. I was sold. The next day, I dropped into the local gym all dressed for a workout and got started. I haven’t looked back since. It’s been about four months, and the weight is almost all off. But most importantly, I feel and look better.
