We are blessed with the two most gorgeous little boys you could ever wish to meet (and even better, they both adore lego – it’s always asked for from Santa and at birthdays). Unfortunately, we have been plagued with character building events for a period of around 4 or 5 years now (really since our first little boy was born). Grandma died, then grandad, I was diagnosed with a cancerous condition. My mother with alzheimers came to live with us, I got made redundant after 20 years service wtih local government – then my husband got made redundant. My mother broke her hip whilst in respite care and this has resulted in an ongoing battle with social servies to try and bring her back home to her family. Throughout all this our two little boys have just continued to bring light and joy into the world. They just smile and don’t make too much of a fuss when they realise they can’t have as much as some of their peers.
To be in a position to take them to Legoland, and not just for the day – would make our year. Thank you.
131
Would love to take our Grandchildren. their Daddy’s away in Afghanistan at the moment and they’re really missing him.
130
I would love to win this for my kids- they are poorly sick as I write this and it would really cheer them up!
129
I’d love to win this as my family have NEVER been to Legoland.
Our little man (4) has had a bit of a disrupted start in life although the last few months have been the first time we’ve been truly settled, it would be lovely to celebrate it with a day out.
128
I would love to win this so my girls can go to Legoland, we were at Nickelodoen Land at Pleasure Beach this weekend & saw the lifesize model of Spongebob made from Lego which they both wanted to make!!!

126

Tonight is the night
When legoland comes alight
Like fireworks glowing
Across the sky at night,
When ghosts and witches
Flit through the night
In a lego castle glowing in the night
Tonight is the night
When legoland crys
Like witches on switches
Across the sky,
When ninjago and pirates
Flit through the night
On a lego made moony sheen.
Tonight is the night
When leaves make a sound
Like a scooby doo runs
Under the lego ground,
When spooks and trolls
Creep out of holes
Mossy and green.
Tonight is the night
When lake monster stares
Through lego and pirates
Everywhere,
When ghouls and ghost
And goblin host
Dance round their queen.
It’s Halloween.

118
Twas the Night before Legoland….
Twas the night before Legoland, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The picnic and snacks were all packed with great care,
In hopes that at Legoland, they soon would be there.
The children were tucked up snug in their beds,
While visions of bricks danced all round heads.
And Mam in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just started to build a new Lego Creation .
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the door I dashed out like a flash,
Tripped over a brick and fell with a crash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to buildings below.
Where, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
Tower Bridge was close by, Then Parliament too
Alongside some Soldiers were marching so fast
Plus a river so rapid that I knew with a gasp,
Just a few feet away, more countries were calling…
So I shouted out loud , and called them by name!
“Theres Holland! and France! Look Denmark and Wales!
Look Canada! and Scotland! Plus Ireland and Spain!
To the US of A! To the top of Big Ben!
Come Quickly, Come Closer and see them again!”
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the door,
My Wife talking quietly and then a few more,
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
I suddenly woke and rose up from the ground.
The night was still young, The day yet to break.
To bed we must go, where dreams will await
Tomorrow more adventures were waiting for us,
Sleep is important, we must catch that Bus.
117
Lego, Lego everywhere
It’s in my shoes, it’s in my hair
In the sink, all over the floor
Under the sofa, behind the door
Lego Lego everywhere
It’s all I see, I so dispair!
On my knees, always picking up blocks
Please tell me when it’s going to stop?
Hang on, what’s that? What did you say?
We could escape, have a night away?
You mean there’s life beyond this mess?
That’d be a dream, I must confess
So our bags are packed we’re on our way
We’re all fired up for an adventurous day
Battling sea monsters, what fun to be had
Escaping fearsome dragons, and that’s just dad!
Laser guns, battling through ancient tombs
Super fast rides that really go ‘vrooooom!’
Amazing lego models throughout the park
We’re there all day until it gets dark
But not to worry, for another day beckons
Back to Legoland kids? What do you reckon?
We return to the hotel, for a comfortable nights sleep
Children exhausted, their dreams will be sweet!
Excited in the morning, they wake for more fun
Jump on my bed ‘please hurry up mum!’
Their faces beaming, I give a wry smile
Not ankledeep in lego, at least for a while!
116
Not only would my two girls love it – it would also make up for the number of times I have felt the all encompassing pain of standing on the lego bricks that hide in plain sight, awaiting their next victim! Oh and my husband loves lego too!
115
My family would adore the chance,
To Play and Stay at Legoland,
Daughter, husband and, of course, me,
The perfect holiday for our family three.
If we were to win this amazing prize,
To see the wonder in my daughter’s eyes
As we arrived at Legoland,
And she began to understand,
And realised where we were
(You see, we’d keep it a secret from her).
I can think of nothing more to say,
Except that we’d love this time away
114
I should win because my four kids are amazing and have had a pretty tough year, they could really do with a treat
113

My kids would be soooo happy if I won this. They’re both obsessed with Lego and would be over the moon to see the huge models at Lego Land. Fab prize.

Would love to win this as our two (DD 6 and DS 3) love playing with mine and husband’s lego from when we were kids (my parents got most of mine from tokens on Weetabix boxes!). 56
Would like to win it for our daughters family
55
We would love to go to Legoland,
We had booked to go in the summer, and…
Then my little boy fell ill
So we haven’t been still
My children were so looking forward to it,
And we couldn’t believe it one little bit,
When Oliver broke out in chicken pox,
Covered head to toe in little spots!
So our careful plans of a wonderful day,
Were simply thrown away.
We would love another chance to go,
It certainly would be appreciated so!

I believe we should win because, I took my two boys to Alton Towers in March of this yr, we saved up all our nectar points to go, but on the way my youngest son threw up in the car, all over himself and the back of the sit. I thought is might just be due to travel sickness so we still continued on our way, got to the theme park paid to get in went on one ride and my oldest son began throwing up everywhere, it was like something out of a horror movie. My boys wanted to come home, mind you it being a three hour trip, got in the car to come home and my partner asked me to pull over and he began throwing up. So on the way home I had all three throwing up. It would be lovely to have a chance to got to Legoland to make up for our past experience of a theme park. PLEASE!
17
Not long to go before the end of the season and what an end this would be. You see my son loves Legoland and Scooby Doo almost as much as me.

I would love to treat my two boys. My eldest, (5) specially deserves a break because he’s just started school this year & he’s made me so proud. He has autism but goes to a regular school, so obviously something this is an absolutely huge challenge for him each day, he’s coped very well but I’d love to be able to treat him like this, he’d have an experience I’m sure he would never forget.

I should win for my boyfriend! We don’t have children but he is a lego fanatic at the age of 31! That’s all he gets every Christmas and birthday but believe it or not he’s never been to Legoland.
I have and it’s great! Would love to go again!
