Two for one deal is what drew me in, 09 Jul 2011Review by Linda TaylorThe two for one offer is what drew me into Glasses Direct. I wear reading glasses, and I’m forever putting them down and then forgetting where I’ve put them. And then, invariably, I end up breaking them by sitting on them, walking on them, setting a laptop on them, etc. So these two for one deals are a real lifesaver for me. I opted for the “from £49” pairs and found two really cool retro style frames that I loved. I ordered them and had them delivered last week. I was a bit afraid that they’d overpower my face a bit, but they actually look fantastic. Now I just hope I can learn to keep track of them. If I don’t, I’ll be sure and head back to Glasses Direct for another pair.

I keep coming back for more high-quality glasses, 07 Jul 2011Review by Fred BarnesThis is the second year running that I’ve ordered from Glasses Direct, and I imagine I’ll be back again next year. The site makes it so easy to choose and order, and I’ve been really impressed with the quality and service. I’ve been less impressed, however, by my inability to not lose my glasses. Which is why I keep having to come back here.

First time trying glasses online , 27 Jun 2011Review by Max W.They were running an offer for free prescription sunglasses if you buy frames from Glasses Direct, so I thought it would be a good time to go ahead and buy a more up to date style of glasses.
I’d never purchased glasses online and found the process to be difficult. Whilst the website was well organized, it’s still hard to tell how a style will actually look on your face. Glasses Direct offers a home trial which costs 5 pounds extra, you select several styles to try, then post them back and they refund the price if you buy glasses. Personally I found it a bit annoying to have to pay extra for the luxury of trying glasses on at home (why not just go to the store and do it free?) but since I rarely have the time to spend ages in a shop trying on glasses I just went ahead and did it.
You’re able to try on four pairs during the home trial, so I selected four that looked good and went through the checkout process. When the glasses arrived I didn’t care for any of them, and sent them back. Unfortunately I was out five pounds from the experience, which isn’t the end of the world, but was still frustrating. At least the return post was free.
