Homebase Customer Reviews

Homebase delivery is brilliant for appliance orders

I’ve needed a new dishwasher for yonks, but I kept putting it off and putting it off. I’m a single mom of three girls, and I can’t lift a dishwasher up the stairs myself, so I’ve been dreading the whole process. But the dishes don’t clean themselves, and I was tired of picking up the slack after the cycle ended, only to find the plates are still a mess.
Last week, I noticed a Homebase delivery van outside my neighbour’s flat and started thinking this might be the way to go. I asked him about his delivery, and he said he ordered a washing machine and got it delivered for under £10. Wow!!
So I measured my dishwasher cubby, got online and ordered a new one from Homebase. They had an even better selection online than they do in store, because a lot of the machines were only available on the website. I wanted something with a good brand name and a great energy efficiency rating. The website lists all the machines’ attributes so you can easily find what you’re looking for.
Two days later it was in my house. The men brought it up, and I was able to bribe a neighbour into installing it for me for a cup of tea and some Victoria sponge.
I didn’t have to drive anywhere or try lifting a ridiculously heavy box up my stairs. Brilliant. Next time I need a large appliance, I’ll be looking to Homebase online again. I may even order some patio furniture through them later this summer.

Loving our new fridge freezer from Homebase

Ordering online from Homebase certainly beats having to follow my husband through the store looking at EVERYTHING - it could take hours!! Our fridge freezer up and died on us, so I did some research on the best models online, and found a really fantastic red Smeg one from Homebase on sale. The only thing that bothered me was they showed photos of models with stripes, a Union Jack and other designs on the homepage for kitchen appliances, but you could not click on the photo to see how to buy. Finally I went and sorted through all of the fridges by colour and it was under "multicolour" - not that I would have bought a Union Jack fridge, but it was interesting to look at in any case.

It was great to have our new fridge freezer delivered right to the house; no worrying about how to transport a massive box home. The red colour is nice and cheerful without being too over the top and the price was reasonable as well, so overall the experience was a success.

My go-to store for everything home and garden

Homebase have never let me down which is why I keep going back to them time and time again. When I can't get to the store, or when I'm ordering something particularly big, their online service is absolute Godsend. Having time to sort out various problems with the house, or to redecorate, is pretty rare for me. I'm a single mum with 2 energetic kids, so when my washing machine breaks or I want a new bathroom fitted it's good to know I can rely on Homebase and they will delivery to my door. I own two houses (live in one, rent the other out) so there's nearly always something that needs doing. Homebase have sales and offer weekends so often that I rarely have to pay full price for any items I buy and there's not much better than that! I use their codes often and can honestly say that in all my orders (15+ in the last 5 years) they have always proved themselves to be reliable and value for money. I won't stop shopping with them.
