Last week I remembered to order something nice for my parents from Hotel Chocolat, as they've been going through rough times and I thought they could use a pick me up. I love shopping on their site, everything looks so appealing and the prices aren't bad. I eventually chose the Rocky Road to Caramel egg, even though it looks like Easter I know that they'll love it. Hotel Chocolat made my ordering hassle free and now I'm eager to hear their reaction to the gift. Very happy with the purchase and that I was able to get it delivered on Valentine's Day to cheer up their day.

I recently moved a long way away from home. When they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, I can tell you they're definitely right! I've been missing my family and friends like crazy. Phonecalls are all well and good but being in a new job I've been busy and with conflicting schedules it's hard to keep in touch with everyone. The drawback is the chocolates aren't cheap, but man do they taste and look good! If you want to splash out with something with plenty of wow factor then this is it. They're worth the money, even if the price means you can't do it quite as often as you'd like. The Next Day Delivery option on the website also means it's great for forgotten birthdays or last minute gifts. Often, if you buy multiples you get good money off deals too. I found the website well organised and easy to navigate and delivery has always been quick.

Halloween is coming up and I can't be with my friends like usual, so I've bought them some spooky treats in the post instead. It doesn't beat being there, but it helps!

I was looking for gifts for my kids’ teachers when I visited Hotel Chocolat, so I was pretty pleased to find a link on the homepage called Teachers Gifts. It didn’t take long from there. I ended up three boxes of 8 chocolates each. They were delivered within a few days, and the teachers could not have been more sweet about it. I wanted to get them something that showed a bit of appreciation for their hard work without being so extravagant it made them uncomfortable. The chocolates seemed to hit the perfect note.

I started my own freelance design business and after I signed my first client, I knew that I should send a sort of thank you for their business. My friends frequently order from Hotel Chocolat and suggested I give them a look. I was really pleased with the selection of corporate gifts but I wound up buying a summer themed chocolate variety to fit with the season and give it a bit more of a playful feel. The chocolates were only 24 quid, which I thought was quite good considering the high-end quality, and they arrived quickly. When my client received them they sent me a lovely thank you note expressing how unexpected and delicious the gift was, so I'd say Hotel Chocolat was a success.
