As I was already employed in the I.T. industry working freelance as a system admin and sometimes and I had wanted to enhance my prospects of gaining a higher paid position and an MCSE course was the natural progression for me.
I liked the idea of having the 280 hours of study spread out so that I could continue working and which meant that I could the afford to undertake the study which is often funded by employers but as a freelancer I have no such luxury. Of course you don’t have the one on ones that you can sometimes get from a face to face tutor but in the most part you attend a lecture at University and rarely get the chance to ask questions.

The best thing about the course that I did was that it is an industry standard qualification that is recognised more than most formal qualifications from traditional learning institutes.

If I had to pick a problem with this type of course it would have to be that you have to contribute large amounts of personal motivation.

Now that I am reaping the rewards I can clearly see that it was worth sticking at through the times that I often considered quitting.
