Great for last-minute travel plans, 01 Aug 2011Review by Ellie LThis site helped me find a really reasonable, last-minute flight to London from Germany, as well as a hotel, for a no-notice business trip. I hate paying through the nose for last-minute travel, but this site really made me feel like I was getting the best possible deal. The search was easy because the site is well designed and quick. I’ll definitely use this site again.

Secret hotels are good if you don't mind where you stay, 11 Jul 2011Review by Megan F.I am a planner, so the concept of anything last minute irks me. However, sometimes it can't be helped. My husband's work schedule is quite unpredictable so we found ourselves suddenly able to take a holiday to London but hadn't planned a thing, which brought me to the Lastminute website. They have something called secret hotels where you choose a star rating and location and they'll give you the price, but not the hotel name. I decided to give it a go and there was a 5 star property in Regent's Park that said from ¢149/night, and they advertised 50% off secret hotels in July. Of course the dates we entered were over 260 quid a night for that hotel, even though it was in July, so I don't know where the 149 came from. We wound up choosing a different property for a lower cost and the location was fine, it was nice enough but in the future I think I'd rather know in advance which hotel I'm visiting so I can read reviews, etc in advance of the visit, as I would not have chosen the property on my own.

Lastminute made it really easy to choose a great day out, 31 May 2011Review by Melanie RupertMy friends and I wanted some time away from the city so we decided to go to book a getaway with lastminute.com. The site was really helpful and it helped us to choose from so many different holidays but what we really wanted was a spa day.
The site led us to the Sensory’s spas in Bannatyne’s Health Clubs and this is where we spent our day. We had to book for our appointment since they can get pretty full during certain times of the year but we were lucky enough to get a great booking over the long weekend.
The day began with a 15 minute scalp massage, which I had never experienced before. I knew we were going away to relax but, man, that was really relaxing. From there we could choose between getting a Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage or a pick me up facial. Our group of 8 girls decided to split up and four of us tried the one and the other four tried the other. Both teams got together once it was over and decided that they were both great experiences. I was one of the girls that went for the massage and I can tell you that it was just what I needed. I have been for massages before but it must have been a mixture of the calming environment and the massage itself that almost put me to sleep. When the massage was over I felt like I was ready to take on the world!
Throughout the day we got to use all of the health club facilities within Bannatyne and this was a special treat for many of us. We didn’t know what to try out first! We went to hang around by the pool for a few hours and then some of us wondered off to try their hand at aerobics.
The entire experience was really great and we’ll defiantly be returning for more!
