Easy to book my service online with Halfords , 04 Oct 2011Review by Chris MarkeyI love the ease of booking services on the Halfords website - I am one of those people who just loathe having to make phone calls and I'll forget or put it off for days. I needed to get my brakes checked, which was actually free from them. I just arranged the appointment online and it was a few seconds of my time. Everything turned out fine w/ the brakes, but I was glad that I had them looked at. You can even set a service reminder from their website so you don't forget to take your car in for routine services, so I set that up for my MOT. Great site!

Had My car MOTed at the AutoCentre, 27 May 2011Review by Jo MasonI took my vehicle to Halfords AutoCentre as its MOT was due the following week. I managed to get it booked in for the MOT by going online, had not trouble with the website which was nice and easy to navigate round.
I got my car to the branch in town three days later, did not have to wait too long and then as the place is pretty big I decided to take a look around. There was a great tool section and I thought the prices were pretty competitive compared to the other shops I had seen similar tools in. I was impressed at some of the offers they had too.
My wife and I had been looking for a baby seat for our car, and I decided to bring her with me at the weekend to see all the ones they had in their shop. The guys working there were pretty helpful, although a couple of them did not seem to know too much about some of the things I asked them about, but on the whole the others seemed to know what they were talking about.
I spent quite a long time in the AutoCentre and I did manage to buy myself a tool kit box which they had on offer, it was one I had been after for quite a while and at the centre it had 15% off the price, so I was pretty pleased about that. I got a call about 6 hours after I had dropped my car off for its MOT to say that it was ready to pick up as it had sailed through the test. I took my wife there that Saturday and we did buy a child seat from them so all in all I think these guys offer a pretty good deal all round. I will be using them again.
