Qantas Promotional Codes

After the success of the last Ashes series – which in case anyone's forgotten, England has just won 3-2 to retain the smallest but arguably most keenly contested trophy in sport – thoughts are turning to watching the return fixture in Australia in two years’ time. Thinking about it and achieving the dream of hammering the Aussies at the MCG or the Gabba, now that the WACA is to be taken out of service, may not be that difficult to achieve thanks to the offers from the Australian flyer Qantas, which received the “best Pacific airline” accolade in 2013. Since many cricket fans might not be jetting backwards and forwards to the antipodean hinterland on a regular basis, they might not qualify for the Australian airline’s frequent flyer club but they can secure flight bargains through the promotional codes being offered by Qantas online. Subscribing to the Qantas newsletter or downloading the Qantas app for both Android and iPhones will see subscribers notified immediately to whatever device they use as soon as the offers are available and better still, they won’t need a coupon code as the special discounts will be automatically applied at the checkout. Using the Qantas app also allows shoppers to check in online, keep up-to-date with your booking and travel arrangements, see the menus for your flight, upgrade when available and get discounts with other airlines and more than 1500 stores and commercial outlets.

Qantas Customer Reviews

Smooth flight to Australia on Qantas

Flew Qantas on our first trip to Australia and was overall happy with the flight and the service. For being such a long distance they did everything possible to make us comfortable and although I was happy to be off the plane, I'm sure it the flight was much better than it would have been on another airline.

My only complaint had to do with the rates advertised. I went to their website looking for offers and on the homepage there were many flights advertised from Heathrow on sale, so I quickly clicked on the Melbourne link and found a deal for flights in August through November for 966 pounds return. I entered in my dates, which fell in the range advertised, but there were no flights for under 1,000 quid available. Granted the price difference between 966 and 1094 is only 128 dollars, but it was a bit annoying nonetheless.

Shopping Tips for Qantas

Offers and deals for you

Flight offers

If you haven’t yet settled on a destination, you can get real value for money by bagging one of Qantas’ flight offers. These discounted deals leave from London Heathrow and travel to Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand, giving you loads of destinations to choose from. In order to take advantage of these cheap prices, you usually need to book your flights within a specific time frame and travel between certain dates. If you’re flexible enough to do this, you can save literally £100s on your airfare alone.

Buy now pay later

Qantas’ buy now pay later scheme allows you to secure your flight at the price you see today and pay for it later down the line – how long you’ve got to pay depends on the type of flight and dates you’re booking. To take advantage of the buy now pay later option, you have to put down a £15 deposit. But if you decide to go ahead with the booking and pay in full later on, you’ll be refunded the £15 deposit. Although this payment method might not save you any money, it could allow you to secure your seat at the cheapest price you’ve ever seen it – if you’ve been monitoring flight prices – even if you don’t have all the cash to hand at the time.

Loyalty programme

Frequent flyer programme

If you regularly travel with Qantas, you could make some serious savings by signing up for their frequent flyer programme. This loyalty scheme allows you to earn points every time you travel with the luxury airline which you can save up and spend on upgrades, free flights, car hire, hotel stays, travel insurance and lounge access, plus almost anything you can imagine from the Qantas store. When you sign up for the frequent flyer programme, not only will you earn yourself loyalty points, but you’ll also receive a regular newsletter with frequent flyer-exclusive discounted offers, special deals from Qantas’ partners and the latest travel news.

Extra money saving tips

Sign up for Red Emails

Get your hands on the latest flight offers, hotel deals and cruise holiday specials by signing up for Qantas’ Red Emails. When you subscribe, you can provide info about exactly what sort of emails you’re interested in receiving, plus which departure airports you use, so you can be sure that you’ll only get emails which are of use to you. If the emails get too much for you, you can cancel your subscription at any point by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the footer of every Red Email and typing your email address into the ‘unsubscribe’ box.

Q Deals

When you’re ready to book your Qantas flight, keep an eye out for ‘Q Deals’. This type of flight is always the cheapest one available, although it’s also the most restrictive. So if you’re searching for specific dates and can’t see any Q Deals available, consider searching for new dates until you find a one which does have Q Deals available. Keep in mind that when booking a Q Deal ticket type, you’ll be charged £200 per person per change and a £300 cancellation fee if you need to make changes or a cancellation. If you think there’s a chance you might need to change a detail or cancel altogether, you’ll be better off booking a Flex ticket – although these are considerably more expensive.
