Trunki is a godsend for the travelling parent, 13 Jul 2011Review by RachelI'd seen the Trunki in plenty of magazines but was skeptical about it ... I didn't just see the point in having your child ride on a suitcase. One of my friends bought one and was telling me how great it was, so I went on the website to see if they could change my mind. I liked that they have loads of videos to show the products, which is helpful for someone who isn't very familiar with the concept. Basically you can store your child's clothing/toys and so on in the Trunki, it's just a small wheeled suitcase, but they can sit on top and be pulled with a pull strap or they can motor it with their feet.
Once I saw the video of the mum carrying a bag and pulling her child on the Trunki behind I realised that it helped with the parent not having to carry their kid's luggage, which would be nice for me. I finally gave in and ordered one, hoping that it wouldnt be a waste of money. I have to say that it adds a bit of fun to the travel experience for a fussy or tired child, and my son was both when we headed off to France for holiday. I was able to carry my hand luggage while I pulled my son on the Trunki. Our son had loads of fun, I didn't have to carry his bags plus worry about trying to hold his hand at the same time and make sure he didn't run off, plus it kept him entertained whilst we were delayed. I would definitely recommend it to other parents who travel frequently.
