If you're a fan of all things stylish, pristine and minimalist, you'll love The White Company! An established London mail-order brand, The White Company deals exclusively in all things white for the home, as well as fashionable clothing and gifts. The White Company was founded in 1993 by …entrepreneur, Chrissie Rucker, who was inspired to create the catalogue due to her love for white linens and soft furnishings. Unable to find quality items without the designer price tag, she set about sourcing products herself, and established a 12-page mail-order catalogue. The company's unprecedented success over the next decade led to the establishment of a multi-channel website, along with a slew of boutique-style stores in major cities throughout the UK. Stocking everything from naturally scented candles and bed linens, to Christening gifts and fashionable women's partywear, The White Company is a one-stop shop for stylish, white-themed products. The White Company Customer Reviews
I was really excited to see that The White Company offers a line of organic baby clothing since my first child is on the way. I stumbled across this news accidentally whilst shopping for a new duvet for my guest room and some other home accents. However, the prices aren’t realistic for most mums and dads, in my opinion. I appreciate the quality and the fact that they are organic cotton, but 26 pounds for a bodysuit that my baby will grow out of in two month’s time is a bit much. That being said I did order several items on sale – at 30 percent off, I didn’t mind paying 15 or 18 pounds at least. I purchased a romper, several dresses, wash mits and a blanket.
Everything arrived in a few days and I was pleased with the quality. The clothes really are beautiful and I like knowing that the material will be soft against my baby’s skin and without harmful chemicals or dyes. The chambray dress is DARLING and I can’t wait to see my baby daughter in it when she arrives in September! Would recommend The White Company to other mums, but wait for a sale unless you can afford it.
I think it was unfair of the reviewer to give the White Company 3 stars when the quality is great, just because it costs more shouldn't reflect the rating, they are specifically set up to target a certain market who are happy to pay a bit extra. I also buy at sale times when they become affordable for me at least, but there is no denying their quality - I buy all my knitwear, dresses, bedding and children's clothing from them because it wears well and seems to last longer than other retailers with the exception of welovefrugi who makes children's trousers that are incredibly strong and long lasting - whereas gap's children's clothing falls apart at the seams within days of using, mothercare and debenhams's aren't great either in terms of wear and sizing.
I always check in when there's a sale at The White Company and buy a few things, whether it's for my home or some clothes for myself or kids. I treated myself to a new duvet this time, and I have to say I'm well chuffed with the price. I typically would not purchase a duvet here due to the cost, but the sale is well worth having a look! They have several different categories on offer and everything's well organised and labeled so you can see the discount straight away. Now my bedroom looks really posh and almost like a hotel. Just the style I was after!
