WH Smith Promotional Codes

If you're in need of some light reading material whilst on the move, look no further than WHSmith. Much more than just a book store, WHSmith is the high street retailer of choice for everything from stationary, newspapers, cards and magazines, to books, multimedia and CDs – all at high street friendly prices! Founded in 1792 by Henry Walton Smith, WHSmith is one of the oldest newsagents on the high street. Originally a single store located on London's Little Grosvenor Street, the family-run company operated as a newsagent and book retailer up until the 1970s, when it began to expand into other areas of retail, such as travel and music. The inclusion of Post Offices within branches coupled with the takeover of the Scottish chain, Menzies, has revived WHSmith's fortunes in recent years, transforming them from newsagent to omnipresent entertainment store with more than 1200 stores across the UK! Stocking everything from light snacks and beverages, to magazines, newspapers and best-selling paperbacks, WHSmith's travel outlets are a one-stop shop for essential supplies whilst on the move. Within their larger high street stores, you'll also find a great range of stationery, multimedia and gifts, including leather-bound diaries and photo frames. If you really want to discover all that WHSmith has to offer, the online store is by far your best bet. With everything from toys, games and art supplies, to eReaders, home electricals and office supplies, is the ultimate destination for entertainment and stationary offers. Spend £15 or more online and you can also take advantage of free delivery or collection from the store of your choice! Don't forget, there are now even more ways to save with WHSmith using our online discount codes, so be sure to drop by before you shop!

WH Smith Customer Reviews

Fast and easy online ordering!

I always have a good experience buying from WH Smith and lately I've been shopping online since I don't always have the time to go in a store. Never had an issue trying to find a book and the delivery is fast, plus it's free over £15 which is nice since most books cost more than that anyway. Recently ordered an ebook from them and the download process was much easier than I expected, very happy with my new ebook and I'll be buying more soon!

Looking forward to our sun holiday with some new reads

In the last minute preparations for our holiday to Jamaica my husband and I forgot to pick up some new books. I was adamant not to pay airport prices so we ordered online from WH Smith and everything arrived in just two days, and even with first class delivery the price was less than 5 quid for shipping. I was looking for something new and spotted the 'modern fiction bundle' so for 9.99 I got TEN books all by bestsellers. Fabbity fab fab. It's a surprise which appeals to me, so I ordered that as well as a few boring mystery type thrillers for the husband. I'd say the only downside is that I spent too much time browsing on the site and was distracted from my packing, as they had such a massive selection of things, not just books but gifty items and Emma Bridgewater diaries etc. (Got one of those too!) We're so thrilled with our books and can't wait to read them when we leave tomorrow!

Shopping Tips for WH Smith

Offers and Deals for You

Special Offers

Shopping on a limited budget? Then start off by browsing the ‘Special Offers’ section of the WHSmith website. Here you’ll find a collection of all the retailer’s very best offers in one place, with 3-for-2 multi-buy deals, discounts across various ranges, buy-one-get-one-free offers and bundle promotions. Special offers are available on absolutely everything the retailer stocks – from books, ebooks and stationery to magazines, crafts and games – giving you plenty to choose from.

If nothing grabs your attention in the ‘Special Offers’ part of the site, check out the ‘Clearance’ section instead. This section is full of an equally varied range of products – all of which have been massively discounted in order to clear and make room for new products. Everything you see here is in very limited stock. So if something catches your eye, make sure you add it to your basket straight away before someone else snaps it up!

Multi-Buy Offers

One of the most common promotions you’ll see on the WHSmith website is the multi-buy offer – usually 2-for-1 or 3-for-2 – where the cheapest priced item is the freebie. Multi-buy offers are normally easy to snap up because they cover such a wide range of products, like children’s DVDs, cookery books or TV drama DVDs. In order to get the discount, you don’t need to do anything special, just add enough of the qualifying items to your basket and the discount will automatically be applied at the checkout.

Free Delivery

Whenever you spend at least £20 on the WHSmith website, your order will be delivered to your door free of charge within 3-5 working days. Spend any less than this and you’ll have to pay £2.99 to cover delivery costs. So if your order falls just short of the £20 mark, it might be worth adding a couple of small pieces of stationery into your shopping basket so your order qualifies for free delivery – it could work out cheaper overall to shop this way.

Free Click and Collect

If you don’t want to spend £20+ and don’t want to pay for delivery either, choose to have your order sent to your closest WHSmith highstreet store instead, where you can collect it free of charge. To have your order sent to a local store, simply select the ‘Click+Collect’ option at the checkout and choose the store best for you. Your order will be available to collect in 2-3 working days and you’ll receive an email when it’s ready. This free click and collect delivery method is available on all orders, however much you spend.

Free Returns

Just in case you’re not 100% happy with your order, WHSmith gives you the chance to return it free of charge for a full refund. To get your money back, simply take your unwanted item to any WHSmith highstreet store within 30 days of purchase along with a copy of your dispatch email and the card you used to pay for it. If you paid via PayPal, you’ll need to take the card associated with your account along with you. Keep in mind that some items can’t be returned, including newspapers, magazines, opened CDs and DVDs, personalised products, perishable goods and gift packs which have been activated.
