Wilko Customer Reviews
I love shopping on their website for decorating ideas, garden things and furniture, but I also buy my all of my pet foods and supplies from them as well. My cat will not eat anything but the Wilko food, and believe me I have tried to substitute. Luckily the prices are great, so I'm not going to complain about it, plus it's simple to order everything online and stock up when there's a sale on. The delivery is quite fast, usually about 2 days, maybe 3, or you can collect in-store, but I've never taken advantage of that yet.
On a side note, I get their email newsletter and they send deals pretty frequently so it's definitely worth signing up.
I visited your ilford branch today, 8-30 am. I waited in line to be called forward. Three young staff were manning the tills, all of which ignored me. I had to holler if i could be served,i was greeted with a grunt from one of them. After arriving at the till these teens continued to carry on their conversation, and proceeded to try and jam my items into one small bag, which split. I still said thank you, as i always do but no surprise totally ignored. Shocking staff, and service.
Wilkos for me is one of those shops which is no nonsense. You can always go, they have what you want and if not then something very similar, you pay barely anything for it and then you leave happy. I am always popping to Wilkos when I'm in town because they seem to have everything from food and drinks to make-up to wood polish to tea towels. I needed a new swing bin for my kitchen and was a bit worried about getting it home as the only Wilkos near me is in the centre of town and I live quite a way out and don't drive. I thought instead of buying in-store I'd try online.
The problem was that where as in-store I know which aisle to go to to find the bins they stock, online I had a little more problem negotiation the lay-out. I guess it's a testament to what I said earlier about them being a one-stop-shop, no nonsense, but there is just so much stuff on the website it can be difficult to sort through it. I find it a bit overwhelming to look at and find I only go on when I know exactly what I want and where to find it I don't bother browsing and I rarely take advantage of the deals they're bound to offer because I'm put off browsing but the cluttered look.
I also think the shipping is expensive at £4.95 with no cheaper option. I don't know whether it's just a personal thing but I'm definitely sticking to my in-store shopping from now on.
