The organisation has something to offer all cyclists, from the absolute beginner looking for an enjoyable way to get fit; the weary commuter hoping to dodge the daily hassle of car, train or bus travel; and the …experienced rider who enjoys the competitive side of the sport, including circuits, road races, time trials, off-roading and challenge events. Alongside all the outdoors fun stuff is the more serious side of the federation's work, including campaigning for more safe areas to cycle and championing road safety projects. Find out more about the government's investment strategy for encouraing people to switch from car to bike and check out internationally-famous champion cyclist Chris Boardman's video about cycling in London. British Cycling Customer Reviews
I bike to work each day, and after hearing about the ride membership with British Cycling I thought it was worth giving it a go. I can certainly stand to spend £24 for a year's membership and for the liability insurance alone that was worth it. The membership also includes discounts at cycling stores like Wiggle, tickets to cycling events, etc. I've been a member for about a month and already taking advantage of the benefits, so I'd say it was well worth the cost. Easy to sign up for on the website, too, and all of the different membership levels were clearly explained.
