Pay in Advance

If you’ve got the money to hand, it’s definitely worth paying for your car hire in advance at the time of booking. Not only will you not have to worry about finding the money further down the line when you pick the car up, but you’ll also get a 10-20% discount.

Multi-Day Offers

Regardless of what time of year it is, there is almost always a multi-day offer going with Budget – either 3-for-2 or 5-for-7, usually. To qualify for this type of money saving offer, you must pick up and drop off the car on selected days, so make sure you check the fine print before handing over any cash. You don’t have to do anything special – such as type in a promo code – to get the offer. The free day or days will automatically be included in the price when you book your car hire.

Refund for Early Returns

If your plans change and you don’t need your rental car for as long as you thought you did, it’s worth taking it back early because you’ll get a full refund for every complete day that you’ve got left on your car rental. Refunds for early returns don’t apply if you’ve paid for your car rental in advance, so think carefully about whether you’ll need to return it early before you pre-pay.
