blogcotswoldAfter the winter’s over, we’re all in the mood for some sun … or at least a quick getaway that’s not in our hometown. Personally, I wasn’t planning any spring breaks because we’re going to Disney World this year, and I’m trying to save all of my extra money for that (very expensive) holiday. But after a long season of being stuck indoors, I’m hoping to get out for at least an overnight break in the next month or so to relax and recharge, and I’ve been finding some really great deals.

If you’re also saving your pennies for that summer holiday, a spring break might some like an unnecessary luxury, but there’s loads of offers out there from city hotels to country houses.

Check out our ideas on where to save on spring breaks, or even the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend – it pays to book last-minute!

Macdonald Hotels are offering up to 30% off two-night stays, including breakfast, or up to 20% off one-night stays. That means you can get away from just £61 per night! Headed to the Lake District? I’m loving the Macdonald Swan Hotel, built in 1650 as a coaching inn. It’s the perfect location for exploring the Cumbrian countryside. If you’re in the mood for some sightseeing and royal history, check out Macdonald Windsor Hotel, just two minutes walk from the castle. Wave hi to the Queen for me!

With the last-minute deals at Four Pillars Hotels, you can book a stay at the 4-star Oxford Witney Hotel from an amazing £43, the gorgeous Cotswolds Water Park Hotel from £53 or the luxury Selsdon Park Hotel & Golf Club in Surrey from £50. Check out their offers section for more spring deals.

If you’ve got kids, they’re probably dying to go to LEGOLAND Windsor. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be crazy expensive to go – if you book your holiday with a stay at a nearby hotel, you can visit from £149 per family, including breakfast and your second day free! If you want to stay at the amazing LEGOLAND® Resort Hotel instead, you can grab a deal from just £288 per family. And, if you visit on selected dates, kids go absolutely free! Check their offers page for more details on this fantastic family bargain.

Speaking of theme parks, another fun choice for a quick break is Alton Towers. You don’t even need to step foot in the park if you’re not in the mood – they’ve got mid-week spa breaks from £49.50, perfect for a girlfriends getaway. You’ll enjoy a hotel stay, breakfast, a three-hour pamper session, and live entertainment at the end of the day. Or, bring the kids for a mid-week waterpark break from £65, including an overnight stay in a themed hotel, one day entry to the waterpark and breakfast, plus free entry for under 4’s. If you’ve only got time for a day out, you can still save: you’ll get up to 25% off by purchasing your Alton Towers park tickets online.
