It’s already late June, and with the school summer holidays approaching, everyone has sun and fun on their minds. If you haven’t planned your holiday yet, there’s still time to get everything sorted, but when money is tight, that dream holiday can seem far out of reach. Luckily, this time of year there are loads of discounts for holidaymakers! We’ve rounded up some fantastic ideas for your summer holiday, with everything from close-to-home short breaks to dream Walt Disney World holidays.

Kids go free

If you’ve got a large family, this is an especially important offer to watch for. Many hotels are including deals for kids to entice families to travel. At Travelodge, for example, when sharing a family room, up to two kids under 16 stay free, and up to two children can eat breakfast free for every paying adult. At Legoland Holidays, kids stay free during selected June and September breaks, and at Alton Towers, kids get free theme park admission when staying at the CBeebies Land Hotel before 31 July.

Holiday parks

Visiting a holiday park is a great idea when you’re trying to save money, as your accommodation and activities are all included. It’s like being on a cruise ship, without the water! If you book by 27 June, you can save up to £150 on school summer holiday breaks, plus an extra 10% off at Butlins. Live entertainment like circuses, magic shows, dance shows, and comedy acts are all included in the price, along with fairground rides, an indoor waterpark, arts and crafts, bowling, adventure golf, and more. At Hoseasons, save up to £300 on your summer holiday, with July breaks from £149 and August breaks from £239. Whether you choose a beach-front park or a lake-side location in the forest, Hoseasons have parks all over England, Scotland, and Wales.

Book 60 days or more in advance and you’ll save up to 30% at Travelodge, making your late August holiday a great deal. With London rooms from £26, and so many free attractions in the capital, you can easily take a London break before school starts in September. Plus, remember kids stay and eat free. At Warner Leisure Hotels, you can book a weekend break from £84 per person, per night in June, July and August, plus if you book online you’ll save an extra £10 off per room on your 2-night weekend break. If you’re staying longer, you can save up to 40% on 3 or 4 night breaks this summer.

You can travel for a song to destinations like Spain or the South of France if you look out for the best deals. You’ll save up to £100 on your holiday when you spend £800 or more at Easyjet Holidays. It helps if your dates are flexible, but we’ve found deals like £418 per person for flight and 7 nights in a 3-star hotel in Majorca in July, or a 7-night city break in Amsterdam at a 4-star hotel for just under £400 a person. If you don’t mind no-frills, check out low-cost airlines like Ryanair for summer steals; they’ve got a package to the Algarve including flights, transfers and 7 nights hotel for £155 per person!

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Disneyland Paris are offering some fabulous deals, and you can save up to 20% off your Hotel & Park Tickets Package, plus a Free Half Board Meal Plan for the whole party. If you’ve got a bit of a bigger budget and want to head to Orlando, you can get a 14-day theme park ticket for the price of a 7-day ticket Walt Disney World if you buy before 31 July.
