We all know that coupons and promo codes are important tools to use regularly if you’re interested in saving money but there are some women out there who are taking things to the next level and actually earning an income because of their smart coupon use. Take a quick look through the newspaper and magazine headlines that relate to coupons and you’ll find that a couple of phrases will pop out at you. Two of those phrases are “coupon queen” and “coupon diva”.

A coupon queen is someone who has become an expert at saving money using coupons. She doesn’t just clip and organize coupons to save a few bucks here and there; she makes a living out of saving money in many ways including the advanced use of coupons and promo codes. She creates meal plans around the week’s coupons, combines different types of coupons to get a maximum savings and implements other creative money-saving tricks within her coupon usage.

These women then take things one step further and share their knowledge with other people who are interested in saving money using coupons. Many of these coupon queens have launched blogs where they share coupon tips with others who turn to them because of their expertise in this area. They make a small income from their blogs through affiliate advertising and monetization of the blog.

A few women are even taking things up a notch from mere blogging. Some are writing ebooks and even traditional printed books about the topic of saving with coupons. Still others are launching creative coupon diva businesses in which they get paid to give presentations at businesses and schools about how to save money using coupons. The smart shopper will always look for ways to not only save money but also to earn more in the process and that’s what these coupon queens are all about.

i just bought 20 boxes of quaker cereal at safeway for 1.99 each and got back $4 for every 4 boxes and I used $3 off coupons for every 5 boxes. plus I got 5 boxes of quaker oatmeal for 2.50 each minus $5 if you bought 5 boxes and the $3 coupon for 5 boxes so for 25 boxes of cereal and 5 boxes of instant oatmeal I paid $9 total.

I’m always taking advantage of vouchers and codes – I can still treat myself without the burden of cost. Last voucher I used got me and a friend 2 for 1 spa treatments at Formby Hall. Great!

Great article! I work for Clipper Magazine, a coupon advertising company and I have noticed an increase, many moms site/coupons experts using social media: blogs and twitter to share coupons. Based on a USA today article, Coupon distribution rose 7.5% and redemption rose 15%. I am pretty sure those moms and coupons experts have a lot to do with that. Interesting!
