If you’re still waiting for your inspiration, we’re here to bring you one last Mother’s Day Gift Guide. This time it’s for the green fingered mamma. If spending time in the garden is one of Mum’s favourite things to do, whether  it be presiding over a great expanse of land or simply tending to a window box or two, we’ve got some ideas on offer to put a spring in her step as the seasons change. Read on for gifts ranging from mere pennies to bigger budgets.

1. Mauvey Liberty Print Large Rectangular Tray £24.95 This Liberty print tray is perfect for carrying some afternoon tea out on to the patio. Lightweight and pretty it’s the perfect vehicle for Mum’s teatime break from weeding the flowerbeds.

2. Hunter Wellington Boots in Green Print £74.99 Hunter are the king of wellies, and with a cushioned sponge insole Mum is guaranteed to stay comfy as she goes about her work. Wellies aren’t just limited to the garden and are perfect for countryside walks, wet weather and festivals, making them our pick for the gift that keeps on giving.

3. Foras Stone Cross Game £249 If your funds stretch to something a bit more extravagant, take a look at these quirky garden features from John Lewis. More interactive than a water feature or bird bath, this stone game of naughts and crosses can keep your mum occupied on those long sunny afternoons lounging on the lawn.

4. Retro Wooden Dollypegs £5 On the other end of the spending spectrum, pick up these old-fashioned dollypegs for Mum to add a bit of retro cool to the washing line. Much prettier and harder wearing than plastic pegs, these add style and practicality to those boring things that have to be done.

5. Petal Adults Cag in a Bag £26 Trust print specialist Cath Kidson to come up with a cute disguise for the dreaded cag in a bag! Cath has given this one a floral make-over so your mum can avoid the showers and stay colourful while she gardens. Better yet, she can tuck it into a handy pouch to use on the go.

6. Quail Badger Moneybox £18 Take a bit of nature indoors with the selection of furry friend moneyboxes and egg-cups from Quail at Liberty. So even in the dead of winter when the heavens open and the pond freezes over, Mum can be reminded of life in the garden.

7. Two Herb Planters £18.50 Pick up a pair of these colourful herb planters from The Balcony Garden. With plenty of room and pockets to help, all Mum will need is a little compost and some seeds and she’ll have a fresh herb garden at an arms length. Perfect for a small garden, balcony or patio.

8. The Thoughtful Gardener Enamel Mugs £7.95 each These enamel mugs are perfect for a tea break in the garden. Durable because they’re made from enamel, they can fall over, be accidentally dropped or kickedand they won’t smash. Alternatively, Mum can use them as small plant pots. The slogans are bound to bring a smile to her face! Our budget pick.

Worth a mention: Do you have £7,500 to spend? Thought not… so maybe this is more of a wishlist item. John Lewis have a Rotating Garden Sphere Lounge on offer. A luxury garden pod where Mum could sip on champagne and gaze over her hard work. Errr… maybe if we won the lottery!

That’s all from our Mother’s Day Gift Guides this year. We hope you found some inspiration from this series, if not, check out Kristin’s upcoming Friday’s Fab Find where you might find a bargain that’s right up your street!

you could get herbs that are babies and aldarey planted at garden centers at places like lowes or home depot.or you could start with seeds and plant them in some planters with some good soil and some water, with the sun coming it’s perfect time to start one. start with basil, or rosemary. be sure to label all of your pots.
