I love checking out Groupon to see what’s on offer each day; you never know what you’re going to find, whether it’s half-off yoga classes or a discount at your favourite clothing shop. Today I was browsing through the site and found a deal that’s perfect for a short break this spring: a one-night stay for two at Who’d A Thought It in Kent for just £74 (up to 54% normal rates).

The boutique hotel, featured on Channel 5’s “The Hotel Inspector” last year, offers modern style tucked into the quaint countryside. Each room is individually decorated and features a flat-screen TV with DVD player, Freeview and Hi-Fi. The package includes a seasonal light lunch, continental breakfast for two and a free glass of Prosecco if you have dinner in the restaurant. The hotel’s champagne bar carries a selection of wines from around the world either by the bottle or by the glass, and the restaurant offers everything from oysters to Chateaubriand.

The hotel, located outside Grafty Green Village, is also close to the quaint village of Lenham, featuring a lovely 14th century parish church and a country market the second Sunday of the month.

Groupon customers can add a second night for half-price, so if you’d like to extend your stay, you’ll still save. The deal expires on 20 July 2012; head over to the Groupon site to read the fine print. Just don’t wait too long, since this offer expires tonight!
