With festival season comes the obvious dilemma of what to wear. It’s hard to enjoy your favourite music when a muddy field has your feet feeling wet and dirty, so of course wellies are an absolute essential. If you’re after a new pair for the summer, there are loads of options from the high-end to super affordable. Here are my top-five picks; which brand is your go-to?

The coolest by far are these glow in the dark (!!) wellies from New Look at just £23.99. I have to admit I’m proper amazed about the idea of wearing these at night. You’d definitely have fellow festivalgoers asking where you found them, and your friends will have no problems locating you in a crowd!

If you’re a wellie purist, Hunter boots are always a classic choice and hold up well for years. The lavender shade is perfectly on trend with this season’s pastels and adds a bit more personality to your outfit than a basic navy or green pair. Find them at Allsole.com for £79.

Personally, I’m a big fan of Joules and love their ribbon-accented wellies (£64.95). Grab a pair in purple, navy or red and look girly whilst you keep your feet dry; just take care not to get the ribbons too muddy!

Office carries a cheerful pair of red spotted wellies that will lift your spirits on even the dreariest of festival days. They’re just 30 quid and also available in blue if that’s more your fancy.

Show off your patriotism with a pair of fun Union Jack wellies from Dorothy Perkins (on sale for £20.70 at the moment). Whilst they might not match with every outfit, at least you’ll stay cosy and make a statement without spending loads of money.
